On offense Englewood returns five starters. Described as a “mixed bag” by Coach Miller, some of these starters will be playing different positions. That can be a plus or minus depending on the needs of the team. However, many of these starters have grown over the off season and have plans to be on a strict weight program to excel at their new positions. DeAndree Gee played slot last year and will now get a crack at Quarterback. He is a hard working, humble and talented athlete who’s approach to the game and life has paid off. He will compete with Shemar Rodriguiz who is very familiar with the position and provides confidence and experience at QB. The goal is to increase the production from last year left by a talented senior class. This could come in a different offense, or different style of play.

The Offensive line will be anchored by Nick Wiggins who is not playing in spring as he recovers from an off-season injury.He’ll be joined by R.J Wright,Vashawn Robinson, and Tristan Dancer. They have new talent coming in to infuse the offensive unit as well. Runningback may be the strongest position on offense. they have some depth there and each back has their own style of play that can contribute mightily to the Ram’s on field success.

The staff has tremendous confidence in the returning starters, and the six new additions to the offense. They believe this year on offense can be really special.

On defense the unit is young up front but has some feisty underclassmen who can make a name for themselves this spring. The linebackers are strong and will provide leadership to the group. The secondary will have playmakers and lots of talent roaming in the defensive back field. The five returning starters will be led by Tavion Whitehead. They look to strengthen the defensive unit with their experience.

High hopes are over the program and the performance in spring will let Englewood know just how far they have to go to get ready for the fall. All indications point to an improved unit who will get valuable experience this spring.
