Reece Beck developed into one of Northeast Florida’s most dominant defensive linemen during his career at Ponte Vedra High School. Blessed with rare size, athleticism, and relentless effort, Beck became a disruptive force off the edge and one of Florida’s top defensive end prospects. His outstanding play earned him a scholarship to Rutgers University, where he signed to continue his football career.
Standing 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, Beck possesses the ideal frame for a Power Four defensive lineman. His length allows him to keep offensive tackles off balance, while his strength and explosiveness make him equally effective rushing the passer and defending the run. A high-motor competitor, Beck consistently plays through the whistle and has the athleticism to chase down plays all over the field. He also showcased his versatility by contributing at tight end during his high school career.
Beck enjoyed an outstanding senior season, helping lead the Sharks to an 11-2 record and a berth in the FHSAA Class 5A State Semifinals. He finished the year with 50 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, 10 quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles, establishing himself as one of the state’s premier pass rushers. His junior campaign was equally impressive, producing eight sacks, demonstrating consistent production against top competition.
What separates Beck is more than just his physical tools. Coaches praise his discipline, work ethic, and commitment to improving every aspect of his game.
