
NORTHEAST FLORIDA — The 2026 high school volleyball season continues to heat up across Northeast Florida, and the latest Duval Sports D1 Week 6 Volleyball Power Rankings feature a strong group of teams battling for position.
The Beachside Barracudas remain No. 1, while Ponte Vedra and Fleming Island continue to hold down the second and third spots. Trinity, Middleburg and Wolfson round out the top six, with Bishop Kenny, Fletcher, Bolles and Tocoi Creek completing the Top 10.
Several teams are entering the final portion of the regular season with postseason positioning becoming increasingly important.
1. Beachside Barracudas — 21-3

Previous ranking: No. 1 — No change
Beachside continues to hold the top spot. The Barracudas have put together one of the area’s strongest seasons while facing quality competition throughout the year.
Freshman Nina Simanic continues to be one of Beachside’s biggest offensive weapons. Mollie Vandeusen has contributed both offensively and as a setter, while Isabella Taveras Seda has been a major defensive presence.
Beachside’s upcoming schedule includes another major matchup with Ponte Vedra, followed by Bishop Kenny on Oct. 6. With the regular season winding down, each match becomes increasingly important.
2. Ponte Vedra Sharks — 9-3

Previous ranking: No. 2 — No change
Ponte Vedra continues to hold the No. 2 position after putting together an impressive season against strong competition.
The Sharks have already picked up victories over Fleming Island, Bolles, Fletcher, Trinity Christian and Bishop Kenny.
Vivienne Woodbury continues to lead the offense, while Lily Keeley provides production at the net. Khloe Murray has also contributed offensively, while setter Jenna Hahnemann has been instrumental in running the offense.
The Sharks’ upcoming matchup with Beachside could be one of the biggest matches remaining on the Northeast Florida schedule.
3. Fleming Island Golden Eagles — 12-3

Previous ranking: No. 3 — No change
Fleming Island remains No. 3 after continuing to build an impressive résumé.
The Golden Eagles have defeated several quality opponents, including Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Fletcher and Wolfson.
Lillie Eason remains one of the team’s primary offensive weapons, while Lauren Brosky provides another strong attacking option. Kaylee Clark has also been productive offensively and at the net.
Fleming Island has several opportunities remaining to strengthen its postseason résumé as the regular season enters its final stages.
4. Trinity Christian Conquerors — 13-5

Previous ranking: No. 4 — No change
Trinity stays at No. 4 following another competitive stretch of volleyball.
The Conquerors have built wins over Creekside, Episcopal, Fletcher, Hagerty, Middleburg, St. Augustine and Tocoi Creek.
Senior Nova Hewlett continues to lead the offense and is one of the most productive attackers in the area. Raelyn Williams has been a key all-around contributor, while Makenzie King has provided additional offensive and defensive production.
Setter Emma Hernesman remains an important piece of the Trinity offense.
5. Middleburg Broncos — 11-7

Previous ranking: No. 5 — No change
Middleburg remains in the Top 5.
The Broncos have put together several important victories this season, including wins over Ponte Vedra, Bishop Kenny, Tocoi Creek, Chiles and Wolfson.
Katelynn Laezza continues to lead the attack, while Maysie Bader has been a productive offensive and defensive contributor. Abigail Grybb provides size and blocking ability at the net, and Reese Forkum continues to anchor the defense.
Middleburg will be looking to finish the regular season strongly before postseason play begins.
6. Wolfson Wolfpack — 13-5

Previous ranking: No. 6 — No change
Wolfson remains at No. 6 after an impressive season that includes victories over several ranked opponents.
The Wolfpack have defeated Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Bolles, DME Academy and Fletcher.
Mae Abernathy, Averie Porter and Bethany Stephens continue to lead the Wolfson attack. Setter Carter Rowell has been important in distributing the ball, while Monica Mina has provided strong defensive play.
Wolfson’s experience against ranked opponents could make the team an important factor heading into the postseason.
7. Bishop Kenny Crusaders — 9-13

Previous ranking: No. 7 — No change
Bishop Kenny remains seventh despite a difficult overall record.
The Crusaders have played a demanding schedule that has included Fleming Island, Trinity Christian, Wolfson, Middleburg, Ponte Vedra, Bolles and Santa Fe.
Chloe Johnson remains one of the team’s top offensive players. Aleena Lundy provides a strong presence at the net, while Maria Patelli and Claire Haen give the Crusaders additional options.
Bishop Kenny’s remaining schedule gives the Crusaders opportunities to finish the regular season on a strong note.
8. Fletcher Senators — 13-7

Previous ranking: No. 9 —
Fletcher moved up to occupy the No. 8 position.
The Senators have picked up wins over Bartram Trail, Oakleaf, Wolfson, Yulee, Stanton and Episcopal while also playing several close matches against teams near the top of the rankings.
Amelia Richter leads the offensive attack, while Chelsea Akakatang has been a major presence at the net. Setter Juliette Watson has also been a key contributor, particularly from the service line.
Fletcher will be looking to use the final portion of the regular season to prepare for the postseason.
9. Bolles Bulldogs — 10-9

Previous ranking: No. 8 —
Bolles falls to No. 9 after facing one of the more challenging schedules in the area.
The Bulldogs have competed against Beachside, Ponte Vedra, Wolfson and Trinity Christian while also picking up victories against teams such as Fletcher, Yulee and Creekside.
Izzy Fischer remains an important offensive weapon, while Sophia Albaugh provides veteran leadership. Mary Cronk has been a key defensive player, and Breznai Smolko contributes at the net.
Bolles will need a strong finish to move back up the rankings.
10. Tocoi Creek Toros — 10-9

Previous ranking: No. 10 — New
Tocoi Creek reenters the Top 10.
The Toros have defeated teams including Atlantic Coast, Bradford, Mandarin, Providence, Episcopal and Nease while facing several strong opponents throughout the season.
Avery Smith continues to lead the offensive attack, while Anikah Scott provides a presence at the net. Senior libero Melanie Carey remains one of the team’s key defensive players.
Tocoi Creek’s remaining schedule includes difficult tests that could determine whether the Toros remain in the Top 10.
Week 6 Movement
The Week 6 rankings show remarkable stability at the top.
- Beachside remains No. 1.
- Ponte Vedra remains No. 2.
- Fleming Island remains No. 3.
- Trinity remains No. 4.
- Middleburg remains No. 5.
- Wolfson remains No. 6.
- Bishop Kenny remains No. 7.
- Fletcher remains No. 8.
- Bolles remains No. 9.
- Tocoi Creek New No. 10.
With most of the teams maintaining their positions, the focus now shifts to the head-to-head matchups, tournaments, and postseason preparation that will determine the next wave of movement.
The biggest story heading into the Gateway Conference Tournament. Also, the next rankings will be whether any team can challenge Beachside for the top spot, while the battle from No. 2 through No. 10 remains wide open.
As the regular season moves deeper into October, every match carries more weight—and one big victory could dramatically change the Duval Sports D1 Volleyball Top 10.
