Biography

Amare Mack established himself as one of Northeast Florida’s premier two-way football players during his standout career at University Christian School. A dynamic defensive back with exceptional ball skills and an explosive offensive playmaker, Mack consistently proved he could change the outcome of a game on either side of the football. His outstanding high school career earned him a scholarship and a commitment to East Carolina University, where he signed to continue his academic and athletic journey.

Standing 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, Mack combines speed, athleticism, and instinct to excel in the secondary. As a defensive back, he has a natural ability to read quarterbacks, close on the football, and create turnovers. His physical style of play and strong tackling ability made him a dependable leader in University Christian’s defense, while his quickness and football IQ allowed him to match up against some of Florida’s top receivers.

Over his four-year varsity career, Mack was equally dangerous on offense. He finished with 79 receptions for 1,604 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns, while also contributing as a return specialist to total approximately 1,800 all-purpose yards. Defensively, he recorded 74 tackles and six interceptions, showcasing the versatility that made him one of the most complete athletes in Northeast Florida. During his senior season alone, Mack collected 30 tackles, four interceptions, 20 receptions, 499 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, leading University Christian with his playmaking ability on both sides of the ball.

Mack’s outstanding production earned him recognition as a three-star prospect and one of Florida’s top defensive back recruits. His combination of athleticism, competitiveness, and versatility attracted offers from several Division I programs before he ultimately chose East Carolina, where he enrolled early to begin preparing for his collegiate career.
