The #1 receiver on arguably the #1 team in Northeast Florida in 2023 was Carl Jenkins Jr of St. Augustine. The talented wide-out went over the century mark in receiving yards with 1,172yds with 15 TDs. Amazingly, Jenkins was able to do this with a stacked receiving core at St. Augustine, with three other receivers who amassed over 500 yards through the air. The dynamic playmaker was explosive in ways no other receiver was able to match in 2023, helping to lead his team all the way to the state championship game.
Jenkins signed to the University of Central Florida, staying close to home to pursue his college career. In 2024, Jenkins had 592 yards receiving and 8 TDs in ten games which he grabbed the attention of bracketed coverage from defenses. As a result, his teammates had career years putting up their best numbers in high school. They all have Jenkins to thank for that.
