Bradford High School has had some exciting years on the football field thanks to 2025 linebacker Jeremiah McKenzie. The all around athlete plays linebacker on defense, but was called upon to take over quarterback duties the second game of the season in 2022; He exploded! McKenzie passed for 855 yards with 10 touchdowns in a primary rushing offense, finishing with a 119.5 QB rating. The versatile athlete also carried the rock for 549 rushing yards and 12 TDs. Amazingly, the sophomore sensation accounted for 72 points, 1,404 total yards of offense and 22 total touchdowns, helping Bradford advance to the Class 2S State Semifinal.
As a junior, McKenzie was used primarily on defense. At season’s end, he graded out as one of the top linebackers in NE Florida! Tallied 101 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 ints, with 8 TDs scored for Bradford helping them to get all the way to the state championship as state runners up.
Through his senior season, McKenzie lived up to his 5-star status designated by Duval Sports two years ago. Made history as the only player with 2 punt blocks in a game in 2024. He rushed for 245 yards and 4 TDS on the ground, all while leading his team on defense in tackles (84) and a sack. A big reason Bradford was undefeated at 5-0 nad had the best defense in Northeast Florida
On top of this, the dual sport athlete also runs track, while maintaining a 4.2 GPA.
