Josh Patterson follows a long line of incredible athletes at Ed White whose last name is Patterson. Two brothers, Jaison (Bowling Green) and Davaughn ( Wake Forest), made their marks not only at the school, but in the state as two of the best to come out of the program of late. Well Josh Patterson just may best them both, as the longest starter with the most games played, but also the most superlatives achieved by an athlete.
Patterson finished with 3 interceptions, 4 pass defensed, a forced fumble and fumble recovery in 2023. Over the last three years as a starter, no other player has more interceptions (11) on the team. His 4 interceptions as a senior in 2024 showcased his consistency as lock down corner.
Offense is also an area Patterson excels, catching 3 touchdowns on just 7 receptions when asked to switch sides of the ball. As a 2-time First Team Duval Sports Prime Time Player, look for Patterson to shine bright at the next level as he signed with Iowa State.
