The ultimate two sport/two way weapon! Kyle Boylston, the two-way player from Trinity saw snaps at WR and DB in their stellar program. On offense, Boylston caught 14 passes for 321 yards and 5 TDs. Yet defense is where he made his money, racking up 51 tackles, 6 INT, 4 PBU, 3 FR, a FF and cashing in 2 interceptions to the house! This was his junior season folks.
As a senior Boylston nabbed 4 interceptions on defense and caught 7 touchdowns amassing over 400 yards receiving on offense. The sure handed playmaker is also an all-American baseball player, named to the Under Armor Baseball Factory game in 2023. With 41 hits in his junior season, he drove in 14 RBIs, and batted a .390 for St. Johns Country Day. The two-sport athlete was named second team News 4 Jax, and First Team Duval Sports Prime Time Player in 2022.
Signed with FAU to play baseball and football in December of 2023. In spring of 2024 instead of entering school early, Boylston stayed to finish the job with his baseball team. Knocking in 5 HR, 30 hits, and 17 RBIs, Boylston helped lead St. Johns Country Day to a state championship.
At FAU, Boylston became one of the nation’s few true two-sport collegiate athletes, splitting his time between baseball and football. As a safety for the Owls football team, he contributed on defense and special teams while balancing the demanding schedule of Division I baseball. Coaches praised his work ethic, discipline, and ability to transition seamlessly between sports throughout the academic year.
On the baseball diamond, Boylston’s development continued rapidly. As a freshman, he appeared in 30 games with 19 starts and made an immediate impact offensively, including a memorable collegiate debut in which he went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs. He also contributed to the football team by recording tackles and playing valuable special teams snaps.
His sophomore campaign elevated his draft stock even further. Boylston appeared in 45 games with 37 starts in the outfield and at designated hitter. He hit his first collegiate home run, collected his first career triple, tied the FAU program record with three stolen bases in a game, and set career highs in several offensive categories while helping the Owls remain competitive throughout the season. His combination of speed, athleticism, defensive versatility, and baseball instincts attracted the attention of professional scouts across Major League Baseball.
Boylston’s professional dream became reality shortly afterward when he signed with the Seattle Mariners organization.
