Maddox Spencer, the record setting wide receiver from Nease made a big splash in the 2023 season as one of the top pass catchers in the state. Maddox set a school record with 68 receptions for 1,348 yards and 16 TDs. He was the FACA District Player Of The Year, a First team Jaguars Prep honoree, and a Duval Sports Prime Time Player.
Turn on the tape and you see why. Spencer is a smooth route runner, who is able to catch in stride with speed to outrace defenders. Slants, Flys, Posts, you name it Maddox did it, and scored. He had a spectacular junior season, and has produced great numbers in 2024.
Spencer led his team with 976 yards receiving and 12 TDs in 11 games played as a senior. He solidified his place atop the Prime Time Player list once again.
