Shareef Jackson made a name for himself as one of the most electrifying defensive backs in Northeast Florida, becoming a cornerstone of the Raines Vikings’ championship-caliber defense. A versatile playmaker with outstanding instincts, speed, and toughness, Jackson consistently found ways to impact the game on defense and special teams. His exceptional play earned him a commitment to Mercer University, where he will continue his football career at the Division I level.
Jackson was a true game-changer for the Vikings, finishing the season with 44 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery, proving he could make plays all over the field. Whether he was locking down receivers in coverage, stepping up to stop the run, or blitzing off the edge, Jackson displayed the versatility and football IQ that made him one of the area’s top defensive backs.
His ability to create turnovers set him apart from the competition. Jackson recorded an interception that he returned for a pick-six touchdown, showcasing his ball skills and knack for delivering in clutch moments. Once the football was in his hands, he became an offensive threat, using his vision and speed to turn defensive opportunities into points.
Jackson’s impact wasn’t limited to defense. He was equally dangerous on special teams, returning a kickoff for a touchdown and a punt for a touchdown. Amazingly at least 3 other kick return TDs by Jackson were called back by penalties away from the plays. His speed, elusiveness, and fearlessness not only made him one of Northeast Florida’s most dangerous return specialists, but dangerous weapons.
