Maybe the most impressive physical specimen in high school football today is Bolles Safety Simeon Caldwell. The fact that he’s the size of a linebacker, but has the ability to play safety speaks volumes about his versatility. Caldwell can come down to make punishing hits, as well as roam the secondary to pick off passes.
As a rising junior, Caldwell finished with 137 tackles (second on the team), 2 interceptions, 5 hurries and a sack at safety. He was one of the most dynamic young play makers on defense in the area.
In 2025, Caldwell had another dynamic year recording 112 tackles leading the team to the State Championship game on defense. He complimented those numbers with 2 interceptions, 4 pass deflections, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 blocked field goals. In the state championship game Caldwell ran a fake punt for a touchdown.
He is the youngest defensive player in history to make the Duval Sports First Team Prime Time Player list and is only the third player to make the list three consecutive years.
Caldwell signed Ohio State in 2025 following another outstanding year . He committed to the Buckeyes after he tallied 80 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 blocked field goals as a junior. His father played 11 seasons in the NFL and is currently the inside linebackers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His uncle is Ohio State defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator Tim Walton.
