The top team in each division of the Duval County Public School\u00a0Conference will\u00a0advance to the city playoffs in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Last year, Fletcher capped a\u00a0undefeated season beating Twin Lakes in the\u00a0championship, while\u00a0previous champ Gilbert\u00a0beat Stilwell in the third place game.<\/p>\n
Here is a\u00a0quick rundown of each division and what has to happen for each team to make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

West<\/strong><\/p>\n Leader: Lake Shore (6-0, 4-0) clinched the\u00a0West Division with a 50-0 win over Stilwell last night.\u00a0The Warriors defense is lethal and doesn’t allow many teams to get past the 50-yard line\u00a0while giving up just an average\u00a0of five first downs.<\/p>\n Eliminated: Jeff Davis (4-2, 3-1),\u00a0Jeb Stuart (3-3, 2-2), James Weldon Johnson (4-2, 2-2), Stilwell (1-5, 1-3)\u00a0and Baldwin (0-6, 0-4).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n East<\/strong><\/p>\n Leaders: Fletcher (5-1, 4-0) travels to Arlington (6-0, 4-0) Oct. 25 to decide the East title. The winner clinches the division and a playoff berth, while the\u00a0loser is eliminated from\u00a0the postseason.<\/p>\n Eliminated: Kernan (2-4,\u00a02-2), Mayport (2-4,\u00a01-3), Landmark (2-4,\u00a01-3), Ft. Caroline (0-5,\u00a00-4)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n South<\/strong><\/p>\n Leaders: Twin Lakes (6-0, 4-0) travels to Mandarin (3-3, 3-1)\u00a0Oct. 25 for a 2:30 in school game. A\u00a0Twin\u00a0Lakes win would clinch the division and playoff spot. A Mandarin win would create a three-way tiebreaker shootout providing Dupont handles\u00a0arch-rival Landon too.
