Baldwin 5, Lee 1<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the first game\u00a0of the\u00a0day,\u00a0ahead just 1-0 in the\u00a0sixth inning,\u00a0Baldwin put it away scoring two runs\u00a0each in the final two innings to escape with a 5-1 win over Lee.<\/p>\n
Colton McCree led off the sixth inning with a\u00a0single to left field\u00a0and stole second before lightning sent both teams to their dugouts and into a lengthy weather delay.<\/p>\n

Ahead 3-0, the Indians added to their lead in the top of the seventh as well as Kaivon\u00a0Kohn reached on an fielders choice and scored on Carrington Lockett\u00a0RBI single over second base. McCree followed\u00a0reaching on base with an error by the Generals shortstop which scored Lockett\u00a0giving\u00a0the Indians a 5-0 lead.<\/p>\n
Lee wouldn’t go away quietly though in the bottom of the seventh as Jeff Scarlett singled past third, Q Newman walked and Amari Fedd singled to right to load the\u00a0bases with one out.<\/p>\n
Corey\u00a0McCormick singled past third\u00a0scoring Scarlett cutting the lead to 5-1 and keeping the bases still loaded. However Dakota Goodman struck out John Davis\u00a0to end the game advancing the Indians to the\u00a0quarterfinals of the Gateway Conference tournament.<\/p>\n
