We officially turned our attention to the spring sports last week by covering the Tournament of Champions tournament at Oakleaf and now we continue with our inaugural baseball rankings.<\/p>\n
Here is our inaugural baseball rankings followed by the district standings heading into this week and key games to watch this coming week.<\/p>\n
Inaugural Baseball Poll<\/strong><\/p>\n 1 Providence (11-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Hands down top team in the area dominating the area and also nationwide schedule so far.<\/p>\n 2 Ponte Vedra (9-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Since starting 1-2, the Sharks have reeled off eight straight wins including wins over Bolles and Mandarin.<\/p>\n 3 Bolles (10-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: There may not be a better overall team than Bolles but losses to both Providence and Ponte Vedra keep them at three.<\/p>\n 4 Creekside (10-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Good wins over BK, Bolles and Yulee coupled with splits against Nease and Bartram Trail have the Knights on a mission.<\/p>\n 5 Ridgeview (9-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Since a stunning loss to St. Johns, the Panthers have reeled off 7 straight wins including a big win over Trinity.<\/p>\n 6 Trinity Christian (9-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Morales always plays a tough schedule and that’s no different this season with losses to Bolles, Ridgeview and Apopka.<\/p>\n 7 Bishop Kenny (7-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: After a miserable 0-3 start people likely forgot about Kenny, no one is forgetting them now after 7 wins in a row.<\/p>\n 8 Mandarin (10-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Tough losses to Stanton, Ponte Vedra and Masters Academy have Mustangs back in the mix.<\/p>\n 9 Baker County (8-4)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: After a 1-3 start, the Wildcats surprised everyone by winning 7 in a row before a tough loss to Suwannee.<\/p>\n 10 Terry Parker (11-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Outlook: Since getting swept by Paxon, the Braves have gone 7-1 since, including splitting a key series with Stanton.<\/p>\n Honorable Mention<\/strong>:\u00a0Fletcher (6-3), Sandalwood (7-3), Paxon (7-3), Stanton (7-4), Clay (8-5), Fernandina Beach (8-4), Yulee (10-4), St. Johns (8-3), U.C.
