OAKLEAF – Day one of the Second Annual Tournament of Champions set the tone for the weekend with a pair of thrilling games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In game one, Trinity got a complete team effort in a 5-0 win over Clay, while Oakleaf exploded in the sixth inning to steal a win from West Nassau in the nightcap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trinity 5, Clay 0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Behind a combined shut out from Bailey Cooley and Morgan McMillian, Trinity cruised to a 5-0 win in Game 1 of the tournament Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alexis Ross and MacKenzie Marell added three hits each to spur the offense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scoreless through three innings, Marell laced a RBI double in the gap to give Trinity a 1-0 lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahead 2-0, Marell plated two more runs on a 2 RBI single up the middle to extend the Conquerors lead to 4-0 in the fifth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her final at bat, Ross delivered a RBI single to extend the lead to 5-0 in the top of the sixth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
