Trailing 7-6  in their biggest game of the year, the team was determined to keep their season alive, breathing life into an otherwise dead offense from the first half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Bolles WR Davis Ellis Interview\" width=\"1150\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QWxIHVcIXXk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>First there was junior wide receiver Gunner Boree, who leaped over two Cocoa defenders and came down with a jump ball touchdown in the corner of the end-zone. The play gave Bolles the lead with one second to play in the third quarter. A lead they had for the first time since early in the first quarter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WR Gunner Boree Made the play of the night! After a long run by running back Kade Frew set up Bolles in scoring position, Bolles quarterback Jeremiah Johnson would toss a beautiful spiral to the corner of the end-zone to his wide receiver Davis Ellis. Ellis would make an Odell Beckham like one-handed grab in the end-zone for the touchdown. The two  terrorized the Bulldog secondary in the first half. Arroyo would end the drive with a touchdown pass to O.J Ross to pull Cocoa to within 6 points with 2:03 left in the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.duvalsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_1716-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44272\" width=\"578\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.duvalsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_1716-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.duvalsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_1716-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bolles would recover the on-sides kick, but still needed a first down to run out the clock. Cocoa&#8217;s defense would stop Bolles on three consecutive downs, using all of their timeouts. On fourth and 8, Coach Matt Toblin elected to go for it, calling a fake punt. It was executed flawlessly as Fordham hit tight end Simon Brackin for a long gain down to the Cocoa 2-yard line. He began the game wearing a blue fleece, yet emerged from halftime without the fleece, dawning a shirt and tie. The switch seemed to help the offense. The offense was stagnant in the first half scoring only 3-points. The Bolles running game found it hard to get past the quick and aggressive Cocoa defense. Cocoa&#8217;s Cedrick Hawkins intercepted a pass early in the game and made crushing hits. The first series of the game saw defensive back Patric Menk intercept a pass which set up a Bolles field goal by kicker Matthew Berry. Caden Fordham intercepted a pass and registered a sack in the contest. (11-1) Bolles will face (12-2) Booker T Washington ( Miami), who defeated #1 seeded Lakewood 9-7.
