Michael Conner III in the 8th grade set the area on fire as a starting running back and defensive back at Oakleaf Jr High. A dynamic athlete with top level speed, quickness, and agility, Conner routinely made dazzling plays on the field. That directly translated to immediate on field success as a freshman in high school, where Conner led his team with 578 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns including a rushing TD.
Conner is also an electric kick returner. In 2024, he ran a kickoff back for a touchdown against 2-time defending state champion Hawthorne. He recorded 933 receiving yards, averaging 18.7 yards per catch, and scored 7 total touchdowns, ranking top 1 in District 2 and top 7 in Class 6A for receiving yards. His exceptional play earned him a spot on Duval Sports’ Prime Time Players Second Team list for the second consecutive season.
He is a 5-star Duval Sports high school football recruit in Northeast Florida.
