Xander Edwards

Xander Edwards has made a big impression early in his Bolles varsity career. None bigger than his week 5 performance against top ranked Oakleaf where he rushed for 184 yards and 2 TDs against one of the best defenses in Northeast Florida. His performance earned him Duval Sports Player Of The Week! 

Edwards could’ve been named player of the week several times this year, as his performances have been spectacular.

• 522 yards rushing, 8 TDS Breaking the state of Florida Single Game Rushing Touchdown Record in a 73-49 victory over Baldwin!
• 184 yards, 4 TDs vs Bishop Kenny (win)/ 248 yards, 3 TDs vs St. Augustine (loss), 157yards, 2 TDs vs Monarch(win)

• Sophomore Year (first 5 games, 2025-26): He’s already tallied 873 rushing yards on 56 carries, averaging 9.0 yards per carry, and he’s added 12 rushing touchdowns. Ranked #3 in Florida.

• In the receiving game, Edwards had his biggest game versus Oakleaf contributing with 2 receptions for 43 yards.

Edwards plays with power and efficiency—he breaks off long runs (his longest in sophomore season so far is 76 yards versus Oakleaf) and consistently gains yards on the ground, displaying vision and the ability to accelerate through holes. His bruising style breaks arms tackles, and creates holes on the rare occasion that they aren’t there.

 Edwards is a top player to watch for future recruiting. His trajectory has him drawing several more D1 offers to add to his current eight (Pitt, Syracuse, USF, Memphis, SMU, Arkansas State, UTSA) He has become one of the more prominent backs in the entire state of Florida in his class.
