His explosiveness pops off film as a defensive back, wide receiver, and specialist on teams. Josiah Payton plays with the passion that coaches wish all their players played with. He eludes contact from defenders, but doesn’t shy away from contact as a defender or ball carrier. He splits defenders, taking plays to the house at wide receiver, and shuts down airways in the secondary. 

A 2026 WR/DB at Providence totaled 12 TDs, including a 99-yard KO return, and a punt return Extremely versatile, and aggressive! Payton is the perfect D-1 player for the college level! Finished the year 904 total yards (19 rec/14 car) with 3 ints and 46 tackles on defense.

Signed  Elon finished high school senior season with 670 all purpose yards, and 6 TDs. Also played Lacrosse
