Jadon Canady has made the most out everything he has encountered. With no Power 5 D1 offers heading into his Senior season, Canady had a spectacular year collecting nine interceptions in nine games as a senior at Sandalwood, the most by any defensive back in Florida. Also played offense, catching six touchdowns and scored three times on returns … His play garnered the attention from programs around the country extending him offers from Michigan, Tulane, Maryland, and Memphis. Earned all-state honors in track and field, finishing fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at the 3A state track meet.
Choosing Tulane, Canady continued his outstanding play appearing in 12 games as a true freshman … Finished fourth on the team with 55 total tackle. Finished at Tulane with 75 tackles, 2 INTs in two years.
Canady transferred to Ole Miss as one of the top players in the nation at his position. He Finished with 40 tackles, 11 pass deflections at Ole Miss, Utilizing a redshirt year before transferring to Oregon.
At Oregon, finished with four tackles and forced a fumble in the CFP Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. His 88.3 coverage grade, led all cornerbacks in the College Football Playoffs. Oregon’s second-highest graded starting defender by Pro Football Focus, earning an 85.5 overall defensive grade … Also earned an 88.0 coverage grade as one of the nation’s top-graded defenders, and ranking among the top-10 cornerbacks nationally. .
Finished the season with 39 total tackles, including 18 solo, while adding two interceptions, 1.0 tackle for loss, six pass breakups and a forced fumble.
Canady enters the NFL Draft as one of the top defensive backs in the country. He ran a 4.38 at Oregon’s pro day. The perfect size for a nickel in today’s the NFL.
