Brenton James

St. Augustine quarterback Brenton James put on a show under the Friday night lights against then top ranked Bolles in week 3 of the 2025 season. The junior signal-caller was the difference-maker, using both his arm and his legs to carve up the Bulldogs’ defense. On a field of 4-stars and 5-stars, James proved why he should be in that conversation as one of the highest ranked players in Northeast Florida.Brenton James finished 18/26, for 236 yards passing, 3 TD passes, and 1 rushing TD versus Bolles winning the Duval Sports Week 3 Player of the Week!

On the season, James has gone 47-60, for 741 Passing yards, 11 TDs with 0 Ints in three games. He also has 15 carries for 100 Rushing yards and 2 TDs. The 2027 rising star has guided St. Augustine to an undefeated record  at 3-0 and is incredibly poised knowing that his potential and the team’s potential offensively has not been reached yet. James older brother is St. Augustine assistant coach Brandon James (University of Florida great), so the greatness is in his DNA.
