Fletcher Middle School: 22
Joseph Stilwell Military Academy of Leadership: 6

-A match-up of playoff participants from a year ago took place between Stillwell and Fletcher. Fletcher advanced all the way to the championship game while Stillwell lost in the first round of the playoffs. Fletcher left off where they did last year by being a step ahead of Stillwell, as they won 22-6.

Darnell Cookman Middle School: 0
Baldwin Middle-Senior High School: 20
-Baldwin looked very dominant versus Darnell Cookman. They completed the shut out to begin the season much better than last year.

Highlands Middle School: 20
Twin Lakes Middle School: 14
-This was a close contest between two evenly matched teams. Highlands was able to hold off Twin lakes late in the contest. This game won’t affect their conference record but provided an indication to where both programs are at this point in the season.

Jean Ribault Middle School: 24
Lake Shore Middle School: 6
-Ribault took care of business against Lake Shore in their inter-conference game. Ribault controlled this contest all the way and was never really threatened after the opening kickoff.

Mandarin Middle School: 0
Matthew Gilbert Middle School: 28

Gilbert won their 65th game in a row and defeated a very good Manadrin team. Many wanted to see a “what if ” scenario with Mandarin. What if they had defeated Fletcher last year in the playoffs, how would they have matched up against Gilbert in the championship? Well we got our answer in week #1.

Northwestern Middle School: 26
Kernan Middle School: 0
-Northwestern looked great against Kernan in their first game of the season. The Bulls started fast and never looked back in this one. They have big goals this year at the West.

Southside Middle School: 0
Landmark Middle School: 30
-Landmark pitched a shutout against Southside in week one. The Seahawks made a strong statement with the win overpowering a much smaller Southside team. Landmark will look to continue making statements in week #2.

J.E.B. Stuart Middle School: 24
Julia Landon College Preparatory & Leadership Deve: 22
– This was the closest game of the week between Landon and Jeb Stuart. Landon and Jeb Stuart traded plays in a back and forth game. In the end it was the Lions that roared but the Raiders that roared toward the win.
