University Christian shut out their semifinal opponent Victory Christian, to advance to the Class 2A State title game. UC’s impressive performance can be summed up with one word “Dominance”! On both sides of the ball UC dominated the game.

- The offensive line opened gaping holes for the running game to take advantage
Victory Christian’s QB No. 10 Dalton Jenner made a 20 yard pass to RB No. 8 Josh Hemington and DB No. 20 Ja’Quaes Stone intercepted the ball in the endzone. The pass was intended for No. 7 DJ Stubbs of University Christian. But their efforts wern’t enough for one of the most powerful teams in this year’s playoffs.
Going 10-3 in the regular season UC’s only losses were to Trinity (Jax) Brentwood (TN), and Dixie Co. ( Cross City). UC has outscored their opponents in the playoffs 128-36 in three games, and are primed to keep it rolling this Friday.
University Christian will face a 12-0 Cambridge Christian team from Tampa, Florida. Cambridge is led by Head Coach Bob Dare. They are having an “historic season” according to Tampabay.com. The Lancers are young. Andrew Cunningham is one of their playmakers who is only a sophmore in High School. He is complimented by QB Jaylin Jackson who is a running threat with the football. University Christian has no common opponents with Cambridge.
Look for UC and Coach David Penland to play physical and take advantage of a young team that isn’t used to the bright lights of the state title game. U.C returns for their second trip in three years. This senior class is one of the winningest classes in school history. They’ll look to end their high school careers the same way they began it. Winning a championship.
