Winning is something that Terry Parker Baseball is used to. For several years they have been a staple of success in the area, and this year has been no exception. At 24-3 they have one of the best records in the state; And though victories come at a plus for the Braves, what they have accomplished on the pitcher’s mound certainly would cout as a premium.

After a thrilling 3-2 victory at home versus Clay in the 1-6A Regional Quaterfinal Playoffs, Head Coach Dennis Robinson praised the efforts of his team, coaching staff, and in particular his pitcher. ” Our pitcher is 12-0 on the season, the first time that’s ever been done in Terry Parker history”. Richard Naumann is not just some jock throwing a baseball, “he acts right in school, a real good player on the mound that does the little things right” said Robinson. His junior starter, Naumann gives his team confidence going into any game, and teams know it.”When teams come into Arlington they know they are going to have a hard time at the plate because of him. We also have a fantastic closer so it all comes back to pitching”.

Robinson preached to his team ” just let it come to you”, but when Clay made a 2-0 run late in their playoff game, the team could’ve easily abandoned that philosophy and panicked. Yet Coach Robinson wouldn’t allow that.He brought in his closer Tyler Rourke who brought it home for the Braves.

Terry Parker has played a gauntlet of teams this year and it gets no easier as they will face Ridgeview in the Regional Semifinals.  “Every game we’ve played is tough competition, but when we are pitching well and executing our small ball effectively we’re scary to beat”- Dennis Robinson
