Pre-Season Flag Football rankings are out with local flare

GAINESVILLE – Defending state champions Plant and Robinson remain at the top in the Pre-Season Girls Flag Football rankings released today from FloridaHSFootball.com owner Josh Wilson.
Plant and Robinson, both from Tampa, won their first and third overall state titles with two wins each last spring in the FHSAA finals in Gainesville.
Robinson won its second straight titles with a 28-6 win over Miami Edison, while Plant won its first title with a 19-6 win over Seminole Ridge.
Locally, Clay (12-1), Terry Parker (12-1) and Fleming Island (7-3) are ranked in their respective classes, both Clay and Parker made the playoffs with Clay eliminating Parker in the first round and then losing to Choctaw in the regional final.
