Best of the Best Advance to Sweet 16!! ! Best H.S Football Player of All Time!

Our Best of the Best series featuring the best football players in Northeast Florida has advanced to our second round!  We’ll be concluding our Best of the Best series at our first live show next week, so don’t forget to share with us who your favorite players are in the brackets.

In addition to the All-Time greats that the fans voted on to advance, other athletes advanced  to the next round as well. Including the All-Time passing leader in Raines Ivory history QB Durham IV over arguably Ribault’s most gifted wide receiver in it’s storied history Anthony Bell. QB Tim Tebow, the 2-time Mr. Football and pride of Nease High School advanced over the baddest Wide Receiver the beach has ever known Andre’ Cooper. Englewood’s most famous alum CB Rasheen Mathis advanced over his late 90’s early 2000’s counterpart  Attrews Bell from Lee.

Ribault’s incredible athlete and the most famous sports alum in their history Laveraneus Coles,  got the nod over Terry Parker’s Stephen Mosely who was their first and only back to rush for over 5,000 yards in school history. Matt Frier who set single-season state records of 99 receptions for 1,716 yards and career state marks of 220 receptions for 3,688 yards and 41 touchdowns got the decision over QB John Wolford who was the state-record holder in career passing yardage (10,621), and touchdown passes (126) when he graduated from Bishop Kenny in the late 2000’s. Finally, it was 2016’s Mr. Football Nick Tronti who won a tough match over Mandarin’s outstanding athlete from the early 90’s Fred Weary.
