Bolles rolls to third straight top athletic All-Sports award

For the third straight year, Bolles has finished as the top athletic program in the area, only this time it wasn’t even close.

Points are awarded based on how teams finish in the FHSAA state playoff series in 27 sports with teams earning 200 points for winning a state title.

A state runner-up is awarded 190 points and points are awarded in 5 point increments all the way to sixteenth with 120 points. Placing between 17-24 at state is worth 90 points and 25-32 is worth 60 points.

How dominating was Bolles this year, the Bulldogs scored points in 19 of the 27 sports.

Two years ago, Bolles won the inaugural All-Sports award holding off Creekside 1195 to 1045, Ponte Vedra was third with 905, Providence was fourth with 915 and Bartram Trail finished fifth with 805 points.

Last year, they won again in another close one holding off Bartram Trail 1185 to 1025, Ponte Vedra was third with 1010, Creekside was fourth with 920 and Clay was fifth with 735 points.

This year it wasn’t even close, they won by over 500 points and essentially clinched the title likely before the start of spring.
