Dancing With The Stars; Top Rated Players Steal The Show In Bolles Versus Mandarin Spring Game

Mandarin HS- To wrap up the high school football spring games, we visited Mandarin vs Bolles, which was a game that featured many stars and future division-1 football players. In a matchup reminiscent of ones from the late 90’s Bolles teams, the number of offers in tonight’s game saw 189 for Bolles and 139 for Mandarin for a total of 328 total collegiate offers for players.

The game started off slow for both teams. That was until 4-star 2025 Mandarin quarterback Tramell Jones Jr found 5-star 2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench on a deep pass, Ffrench making a one-handed grab in the back of the end zone for a spectacular touchdown. Afterwards, the two star Mustangs would sit and rest for the remainder of the game. Jones is committed to FSU, and Ffrench decommitted from Alabama after Nick Saban retired, and has yet to commit. Both are incredible athletes that will put up incredible numbers this year.

The first quarter would end 7-0 Mustangs. Entering the 2nd quarter, the Bulldogs really needed a spark. On the first play, the Bolles defense forced and recovered a fumble. The very next play, Bolles quarterback Ethan Drumm launched a ball deep to 4-star 2026 wide receiver Naeem Burroughs for a 60-yard touchdown. Just like that, the bulldogs tied the game up.

Drumm is the next big quarterback to come out of Northeast Florida, although he’s been overlooked the last few years. He checks all the boxes with size and arm talent. As we predicted two years ago, this 6’3, 205 pound QB will be one of the leading passers in the area this season. He gave everyone a glimpse of that in the spring game, and offers have heated up for him.

The bulldogs would get the ball back with about 2-minutes left in the half. After a solid drive down the field, they gave the ball to running back Emmett Grzebin, who punched it for the score. Grzebin is a talented rising senior who has picked up steam in recruiting. His run put the bulldogs up 14-7 into halftime.

During the break, both teams would pull their starters, and the rest of game was all about the Mandarin rushing attack. They would continue to pound the ball on the ground and run up the score, showcasing impressive depth on their roster. The final score was Mandarin 35, Bolles 14, although the score doesn’t reflect the competitive aspect put forward by the starters.

Both of these teams were very evenly matched and have lots of amazing talent. One of the highest recruited athletes in the nation is Mandarin’s Hylton Drake Stubbs. Stubbs, a 4-star safety is committed to USC. He did not play in the spring game. Both Bolles and Mandarin will be exciting teams to watch in the fall. I would expect both teams to make a deep push into the playoffs once again this coming December.
