2018-2019 All-Area Girls High School Basketball teams

The 2018-2019 girls basketball season could be described in one single word, “parity”.

Just like in college, the days of seeing U-Conn rule the women’s game and hoist the national championship trophy every year are long gone; so are the days of seeing Ribault dominate the area every year.

There are newcomers now who look to step up and take over as the dominating area teams. Teams like Bishop Kenny and Raines made school history by getting to Lakeland, as well as the greatest team this year the Nease Panthers.

Yet no team dominates with out a great coach and outstanding players. Tonight we honor those outstanding players with our inaugural all-area girls basketball teams.

The top 40 girls basketball players were selected based on observation and what they produced on the court the whole season. Without further ado, here is the inaugural Duval Sports All-Area girls basketball team.
