Running Backs: Alvin Gibson- Riverside vs Christian Ellis- Ed White

Alvin Gibson The Riverside backfield is led by senior Alvin Gibson who has run for 842 yards and 13 touchdowns. Gibson is lightning quick and can take it the distance, as he’s shown already with an 80-yard touchdown run this year. Gibson has also racked up 166 yards receiving and scored a touchdown as well. Senior Dayon Rawls has also run hard when given the opportunity, rushing for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns. This backfield is all about big plays.

Christian Ellis- What a year it’s been for Ellis fresh off a championship at Trinity Christian last year. The 6’1, 200lb senior has powered the Ed White run game this year for 1244 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He’s also caught 2 touchdowns this year. The mix of speed and power makes him dangerous with every touch. But he’s not the only dangerous back Ed White has used this year. Senior Jaquan Wiggins provides a nice change of pace, rushing for 287 yards and 2 scores. And then there’s junior Davaughn Patterson who has come in and motored for 311 yards and 6 touchdowns. He’s a jack hammer that defenses struggle to bring down.
