Atlantic Coast defeated Sandalwood 6-0 to be crowned Gateway Conference Champions on Friday. Both programs came into the contest riding high after successfully navigating their way through the Gateway Tournament. Pitcher Zach Greene had two RBI’s and five strike outs in the win for Coast. Sandalwood could not get their bats warm Friday night, a surprising contrast from their season so far. The game was eventually called due to weather in the fifth before a comeback attempt could be made. Congratulations to the 2015 Gateway Conference Champions the Atlantic Coast Stingrays!
