James Weldon Johnson Wins Middle School Championships

In case you missed it,  James Weldon Johnson defeated Fletcher 17-7 to cap an undefeated baseball season.  The win gave JWJ its first ever 14-0 season resulting in the City Championship.

The baseball team’s win was the icing on the cake for a sports program that achieved much success this year.  We covered their girls basketball success earlier this year reaching the City Playoffs. Their softball team was crowned division champions. And just a week ago the James Weldon Johnson Boys & Girls Track teams won the city championships .

Congratulations are certainly in order for the James Weldon Johnson Sports programs, but especially the Baseball & Track Teams for being crowned CITY CHAMPIONS!!

Congrats to our JWJ Softball Team, the Western Division Champions!!! They placed 4th in the City Finals this week.
