Spring Football: Some Of The Areas Top Recruited Athletes Have Shifted To Middleburg And Impact Christian Academy

Middleburg Fl- Middleburg and Impact Christian Academy are two programs looking to make a big leap in 2025 after disappointing first round exits in the playoffs last year. This spring game was a great measuring tool to help both teams figure out where they are at headed into the summer. Both teams allowed starters to play in the first half, then put in backups/JV players with a running clock in the second half.

For Middleburg, lots of talented seniors are leaving the Broncos. However, the Broncos were able to reload with some key players who shined in their first opportunity in the red and black. Newly acquired running back, Gino Addison, could not be stopped. The former Bradford running back scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half for the Broncos.

Jayven Moreno 2026 QB, 6’1, 175lb

A new quarterback was under center for the Broncos as well. Dual-threat quarterback, Jayven Moreno was a dangerous threat, using his legs to extend the plays on several occasions. Middleburg also has some key players returning as well, cornerbacks Floyd Reed and Jordan Avelino will continue to hold down the secondary for the Broncos this fall. Reed is one of the top recruited players in the area

On the other side of the ball, receivers Deshaun Green and Jordan Williams, will continue to be reliable targets for the Broncos. Wide Receiver (2026) Jordan Williams, at 5’11”, 170lbs has offers from Old Dominion, and Bowling Green.

Impact Christian

For Impact, there’s one playmaker that stands out from everybody and, quite literally, never comes off the field. Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy is an outstanding player and one of the best athletes in Northeast Florida. Caldwell-Hardy plays safety, wide receiver, and even punter for the lions and was all over the field Friday night.

Elijyah Caldwell-Hardy– 2026 WR/DB 6’1, 185lbs , offers: Michigan State, FAU, Ball State, Mercer, Middle Tennessee St

Caldwell-Hardy scored Impact’s only points of the evening with a 20 yard receiving touchdown before the end of the first half. Eliyjah currently holds offers from Michigan State, UCLA, Syracuse, and many more. Impact also had a couple big plays on offense, which were overturned due to penalties.

Receivers Rolack Quorde and Alexander Lee had long touchdowns that were unfortunately called back due to holding calls. Despite the called back touchdown, Impact could have a promising receiving core this fall.

#7 Rolack Quorde– 5’11, 2028 DB/WR

Other Notables:

Andrew Wright Jr– 6”0, 175, Quarterback

Laquinn Buckman-5,7 139 running back / slot

Jayden Williams– 6 sacks in 2024

Both Middleburg and Impact are programs on the rise. Middleburg head coach Ryan Wolfe has been instrumental in building the Broncos into a consistent playoff participant. They’ve advanced to the post-season three straight years.

Impact head coach Jerrand Nesmith has literally started from the bottom, but has reached for the sky with a traditional basketball school that is new to the football scene. Last year the Lions went 6-4, advancing to the FHSAA playoffs for the first time in school history. There is a power shift on Jacksonville’s southside where the top athletes are choosing Impact.
