Jacksonville Fl- The Bolles Bulldogs imposed their will on the Riverside Generals Thursday, pulling away to a convincing 45-14 victory. The result improved Bolles’ record to 7-1 as they’ve won five games in a row. The way head coach Matt Toblin’s team is playing seems laser focused on not just winning, but dominating any opponent in their way.
Game Highlights & Key Stats
From the opening whistle, Bolles pounded the ball and controlled the tempo. They compiled 153 rushing yards at 5.9 yards per carry, with standout sophomore running back Xander Edwards rushing for 117 yards and a long of 39.
On the passing side, the Bulldogs completed 11 of 18 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. QB Jaden Weatherly went 5-11 for 59 yards and a score; fellow passer Luke Toland was 6-7 for 66 yards.
Receiver and special-teams ace Naeem Burroughs combined 48 receiving yards and contributed three touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving, one return) while totaling 137 all-purpose yards.
Defensively, Bolles was dominant: DL Asher Ghioto tallied four sacks, and the Bulldogs finished with six sacks on the night. Their defense repeatedly forced Riverside into third-and-longs and limited big plays.
For Riverside, QB Jaidan Delaune was efficient — 16 of 18 passing for 260 yards and a touchdown. However, the rush attack managed only 53 yards on 25 carries (2.1 average) and the Generals could not sustain drives. Riverside’s big passing numbers were offset by short drives and an inability to convert on the ground.

Turning Points & Momentum
A key sequence came in the second quarter when Bolles converted a third-and-long via pass (Toland to Burroughs) then punched it in via Edwards’ run. That swung momentum firmly in Bolles’ direction.

The Bulldogs enforced their will in the trenches and on special teams, highlighted by Burroughs’ return score. By the time Bolles stretched the margin past 30, the complexion of the game was settled — and the Bulldogs never looked back.
Season Context
Bolles is running at an average of 422 total yards per game this season, with 253 rushing yards per game. The Bulldogs’ defense is equally stout, generating pressure at over four sacks per game. The Bulldogs have defeated Oakleaf 38-6, Bishop Kenny36-0, and have scored 45 points or more the last three games.
Looking Ahead
With the win, Bolles remains in strong position in their district and heads into their next game against Wolfson with momentum behind a balanced attack and a confident defense. They look to wrap up the District.
Riverside’s focus now shifts to tightening fundamentals — especially in the run game and protecting the football — if they hope to salvage their season heading into the stretch run and a big district showdown with Ed White.
