It’s the bottom of the 9th in Northeast Florida, to use a baseball term in celebration of the World Series. Teams won district titles last week, and getting ready for playoff football. Raines clinched district this week. Mandarin defeated Oakleaf and clinched district. Bradford clinched District 5-2A with the Oct. 24 win over Santa Fe. Bolles had clinched its district earlier in October. Ed White won their district championship for the second consecutive year. While St. Augustine won their district as well.

Key players / stats: Raines has averaged roughly 50+ points per game through the stretch and their offense features multiple scorers (box recaps reference big games from their skill players).
Why #1: Raines is the region’s most consistent, explosive offense and their defense has been forcing short fields; they locked up a district championship during the Week-10 slate. ✅ Clinched district title (this week vs Yulee). They end the season exactly where they started, number one.

2 — St. Augustine (St. Augustine) — (record: 9-0)

Game (10/24): St. Augustine throttled Ridgeview 66–6 (Oct. 24) after earlier wins such as 34–20 over Bartram Trail.
Key players / stats: Season scoring outputs and game recaps show the Jackets with multiple 100+ yard performances from skill players and efficient QB play; St. Augustine’s offense routinely converts in the red zone.
Why #2: Put simply — depth, explosive scoring, and the ability to blow teams out.

3 — Bolles (Jacksonville) — (record ~8-1)

Game (10/24): Bolles crushed Wolfson / rolled in late-October league play (56–6 on Oct. 24).
Key players / stats: Bolles’ season box sheets show a heavy rushing presence and special-teams scores across October; the program’s running backs and receiving corps have produced consistent yardage all season.

Key players / stats: Mandarin’s attack features dependable playmakers (season leaders who move the chains and create big plays); the Oct. 24 win was balanced — offense scored early and the defense made key stops.
Why #4: A disciplined, balanced team that won the headliner district game this week. Brysen Wright had another pick 6 and the defense shut down Oakleaf’s rushing attack. ✅ Clinched district title (vs Oakleaf).

5 — Nease (Ponte Vedra) — (record~7-2)

Key players / stats: Game recap names contributors Enrique Ordoñez, Sloan Davis, Chase Phifer and Quinn Bradfield as scorers in the recent blowouts; Nease’s defense has posted multiple shutouts in October.

6 — Bradford (Starke) — (record ~9-1)

Game (10/24): Bradford beat Santa Fe 21–7 on Oct. 24 to clinch the District 5-2A title.
Key players / stats: Cy Cubbedge (QB) tossed two TDs in the Santa Fe win; Chase Phillips was a top receiving target in the game and Bradford’s defense produced key turnovers in October.

8 — Oakleaf (Orange Park) — (record~7-2)

Game (10/24): Oakleaf fell to Mandarin 31–14 (Oct. 24) after a memorable win earlier in the month over Ed White.
Key players / stats: Oakleaf’s RB Fareed Coleman has been a season-defining force (he produced an enormous single-game rushing line earlier in mid-October and continues to be the team’s bell-cow).
Why #8: Oakleaf remains dangerous when the run-game gets rolling (and they had a shootout win earlier in the month), but the Mandarin loss cost them ground this week.

9 — Ed White (Jacksonville) — (record~7-2)

Game (10/24): ED White racked up points in late October — a 64–45 win over Riverside on Oct. 24 and earlier a close shootout with Oakleaf.
Key players / stats: ED White’s rushing attack and passing balance produced multiple 100+ point stretches — season leaders like Nick Roberson (top receiver) and King Boylston (dual-threat QB/runner in earlier recaps) have anchored the attack. Against Riverside King Mercer emerged as a dynamic playmaker.
Why #9: Offense can score in bunches (big totals in multiple games), but defensive lapses in shootouts keep ED White just outside the top half. White clinched a district crown in the Week-10

10 — Fleming Island (Orange Park) — (record~5-3)

Game (10/24): Fleming Island beat Middleburg 21–10 on Oct. 24; earlier put up 55 points vs Parker (Oct. 17).
