Leadership Lifts Bolles To 50-Point First Round Blowout Over Walton

Jacksonville Fl – The Bolles Bulldogs unleashed one of their most complete performances of the 2025 season, dominating the Walton Braves 63–13 to advance in postseason play. It’s the kind of play that can set the tone for a long playoff run, and eventual championship appearance led by their seniors.

The Bulldogs wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard. Senior quarterback Jaden Weatherly instituted a decisive air attack, tossing two touchdown passes to keep Walton’s secondary scrambling throughout the contest. His precision and poise set the tone early going 7 for 7 in the game allowing Bolles to build a multi-score lead before the Braves could settle in.

Through the air, Weatherly found consistent success targeting the Bolles dynamic duo at receiver. Junior Cam Tietze hauled in two receiving touchdowns, showcasing his reliable hands and crisp route running, while senior Naeem Burroghs matched him with two receiving scores of his own. Their play-making ability produced explosive gains and prevented Walton from dedicating extra defenders to stopping Bolles’ dominant rushing attack.

But the headliner of the evening was unmistakable — running back Xander Edwards, who delivered a playoff-defining playoff performance with four rushing touchdowns. Edwards powered through arm tackles, broke into the second level with ease, and punished Walton defenders who tried to slow him down as he continued to extend what has already been a record-breaking sophomore campaign.

Edwards has playoff experience from last year, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown in three games. He’s already eclipsed those marks in just one game, and his experience will prove pivotal on the postseason road ahead.

While the offense piled on points, the Bolles defense delivered its own statement, suffocating Walton’s attempts to mount a comeback. Edge rusher senior Sebastian Chance Faucheaux played one of the best games of his season, recording one sack and three tackles for loss, consistently blowing up plays in the backfield.

On the back end, the Bulldogs’ secondary turned opportunistic. Seniors Santana Starks and Simeon Caldwell snagged interceptions, halting two of Walton’s most promising drives and swinging momentum firmly in Bolles’ favor. Meanwhile, Truett Henderson, and Aidan Anderson, pounced on a loose footballs each for fumble recoveries giving Bolles yet another extra possession — something their offense didn’t waste.

By halftime, the Bulldogs had built a commanding lead. By the fourth quarter, they had broken the will of the Braves entirely. Luke Toland tossed two touchdown passes in the game, and complementing Edwards in the backfield was Jaxon Flowers, who added another rushing touchdown of his own. With the offensive line paving wide rushing lanes and controlling the trenches, Bolles’ ground game proved virtually unstoppable.

Bolles’ 63-13 victory was not just a playoff win — it was a statement to the rest of the bracket. With an offense firing at full power and a defense capable of game-changing plays at any moment, the Bulldogs look every bit like a team built for a deep postseason run.

As the playoffs continue, one thing is clear: Bolles is playing it’s best football. Their experienced leaders look to take them to the title game, something those before them have experienced, but the currnent players look to achieve.
