Duval Sports D1 Prospects: Week 1 Raines Versus Oakleaf

A long and impressive bookend on an Oakleaf defense that’s going to be very good this year. He routinely blocked escape routes for the opposing quarterback with his wing span, and corralled him for several sacks. The 6’3, 225 pounder needs to be on everyone’s recruiting boards.

A 3-star FIU commit, who provides incredible versatility to the Raines defense. Covering wide receivers, Tight Ends, and flying up for run support. The 5’10, 175lbs DB is ideal for today’s diverse skill set secondaries, that ask DBs to do multiple tasks.

In a game that featured some of the top recruits in the state of Florida, the 6’2, 190lbs QB proved that he should be one of those players. When his pocket collapsed under pressure from the elite Raines defensive front, Delaune showed his ability to escape and make plays with his legs. The First Team Duval Sports D1 Prime Time Player also connected with Syncere Murphy for a TD pass in the contest.

Standing at 6’6, 287 pounds, Wilson was an imposing figure on the Oakleaf offensive line. He has all the natural attributes that college coaches love to recruit. Height, Weight, length, and most importantly, good coaching. With offers from Famu and BCU, watch for this big man to become a big name by seasons end.

He was incredibly poised under pressure, showing a big arm that connected with several receivers down field. At 6’3, 185lbs, the sensational sophomore showed athleticism and accuracy. The 3-star QB has offers from PITT and Liberty, representing the new era in the historic Raines football program.

He plays a critical role in what is widely considered one of the most dominant defensive backfields in the state. The 5’10, 175lbs DB flys up to make tackles for loss, and covers the back end of the defense making plays in the secondary.

An explosive runner with impressive leg drive to break arm tackles coupled with speed and agility to make defenders miss. He put the game away with a long run in the fourth followed by the decisive touchdown run. The 5’9, 165lbs back has offers including FSU, Syracuse, South Carolina, and UCF

The most dominant player on the field Friday night and it wasn’t even close. The 3-star outside Linebacker’s sack fumble in the first half shifted momentum to Raines. He put constant pressure on the opposing QB, while being double-teamed and chipped. The 6’2, 240lbs commanded attention allowing other teammates to feast. He is a BEAST, and the best pass rusher in Northeast Florida. The backer recently decommited from Liberty.

Raines knew they had to stop this player. His speed, vision, and athleticism made him the most dangerous player on the field. Able to return punts and kickoffs for touchdowns. Able to take quick 5-yard slants 50 yards. Able to fly past DBs on go routes. The 5’9, 160lbs Conner will make spectacular plays this year. He played both wide receiver, defensive back, and returner. He never left the field.

Oakleaf needed to give this power back the ball more. When they did, he bulldozed through Raines athletic but small front. The Knights will wish they had some play calls back on offense as Moses could’ve slowed the game down, limited turnovers, and moved the chains. The 5’8, 210lbs back can carry the load.

An explosive 6’0″, 205-pound defender who plays a hybrid linebacker/edge role. Jones is the ultimate play-maker on the Raines Defense. He registered 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries with returns versus Oakleaf. Remember his interception return in the state championship vs Northwestern? PLAY MAKER!

Powering the offensive line is this hard working junior standout. With excellent technique, Harvison walls off defenders, and with quickness he gets to the next level on linebackers. The 6’2, 285lbs guard is not the biggest, but he’s the best on the Raines O-line.

A long and athletic 3-star receiver standing at 6’2, 170lbs, Green can get behind secondaries with speed, and get over defenders with size. He also plays defense, and came up with a key forced fumble on Oakleaf’s 4th quarter drive. He has offers from Texas A&M, Penn State, FSU, LSU, and other top tier D1 programs.

The only receiver to successfully get behind the Raines secondary, Syncere Murphy made Raines pay with his speed and sure hands. He scored the Knight’s only TD of the game, and showed why he’s extremely valuable as an athlete for them. The 5’11. 170lbs play maker has offers from ODU, Middle Tenn St, Arkansas State, and others.

This lighting rod was all over the field Friday. Made several open field tackles, blitzed, and even blocked a punt to change the momentum of the game. This 6’1, 220lbs game changer is a player to track this season, as he will make key plays for the team in different phases of the game.

You may not have noticed him in the game, but I did. This 5’11, 275lbs wrecking ball could not be blocked by the Raines interior linemen. He constantly disrupted the Vikings backfield with quick get off, and penetrating pressure. He forced several sacks by making the QB roll into the Ends or blitzing linebackers. He along with Nigel McClendon each had a sack in the game.

Oakleaf’s menace on the edge is this 6’3, 270lbs machine. Raines offensive tackles had their hands full trying to block the long armed End. Thomas has leaned his body and it shows with athleticism in stunts, but still has power to beat 1 on 1’s. He’s in for a great year.

Tied for the lead in sacks (2), this 6’1 225lbs athlete is listed as a NT, but is more like a linebacker. Able to shed blockers and pursue ball carriers and quarterbacks, Doran along with DT Elmendelah Elbon and Kyree Beamon were on the spot stopping the run. Doran showed athleticism getting sacks after the bookends forced the QB up the pocket.

Williams is a glaringly quick receiver with offers from FAU, Pitt, UMASS, Western Kentucky and Wofford. The 5’11, 165lbs WR showed his speed getting behind a defender in the first half of a defensively grueling game. He will exploit a lot of mismatches this year with his ability read defenses.

Returning to Clay County for the night was Tristan Stevenson who lit the stadium on fire with a long reception in the second half that finally saw Raines connect with an explosive play. The 5’11, 160lbs speedster is an explosive player who had 707 Rec yards | 10 TDs and an interception in 2025.

Although this dynamic athlete did not see many footballs come his way in the game, Hicks is an electric returner, able to take kickoffs and punt returns the distance. The 5’6 165 athlete is also dangerous in open space as a receiver. Watch out for this number, because when his number is called plays are made.

A 2-sport athlete playing football and running track, Swain played very good defense in the secondary covering the speed of Raines and showing off his speed and big hits in the process.The 6’1, 185lbs prospect has excellent metrics for the next level.

The 6’0, 185lbs linebacker had 9 tackles and a sack in the contest. He was part of a group (Eric Hill & Cameron King) that tackled Raines ball carriers in open space very well. That ability by Smith company allows the front 4 of Oakleaf to rush up field.

This freshman linebacker is one to watch for sure. He registered a sack in the game, and has great size for his age. The fact that he is getting significant playing time early on and in a big game is evidence that he his going to be a very good player. No height listed. Estimated: 6’0, 200lbs.
