These players exhibit the stats, the stamina, and the stature as fine football players for their weekly performances on the gridiron. Each player of the week is acknowledged on our weekly Press Box Show, and will be honored with a special presentation during the season. Youth Football Player of the Week
Vedarius Thomas
Team : Sweetwater Junior Pee Wee
Position: Running back / Linebacker
Stats: Rushing TD versus Forestview, 6 solo tackles
Vedarius is an unselfish player that coaches describe as having a great attitude and personality toward the game. He is attentive, coachable and is a leader on a team with many great athletes. “They all listen to Vedarius” said one coach after Thomas led them to a 32-0 victory over Forestview.

Middle School football Player of the Week
Aaron Wynn
Team: Gamble Rogers Stingrays
Position: Running back
Stats: 205 total yards 3 TDs vs Landrum
Aaron Wynn is arguably one of the best middle school tailbacks in Northeast Florida. His ability to take it the distance each play is rivaled only by the ones you’ve seen play on Saturdays. This young man has that ability as well. Against Landrum, he showcased his versatility by rushing for two touchdowns and catching one as well, leading the Stingrays to a 34-8 win.

High School Football Player of the Week
Denali Lindo
Team: Ridgeview
Position: Wide Receiver
Stats: 148 All purpose yards and three touchdowns versus Westside
Denali Lindo is no stranger to DuvalSports.com. He was first discovered making plays for the Clay Bears in youth football. Now he is still making plays on the High School level for Ridgeview. This dynamic athlete hauled in two touchdown passes of 43 and 55 yards in a week three contest versus Westside. He also rushed for 42 yards and another score to complete the hat trick in the game.
