It took a while but I have finally compiled all the 2018 Clay County Junior High football schedules for the upcoming season. However it was well worth it as the season opens how the 2017 season ended.
A rematch of the 2017 Northeast Florida Athletic Conference championship games kicks off the season August 28 with runner-up Orange Park traveling to champion Wilkinson in an afternoon battle.
Other opening games include neighboring rivals Bradford traveling to Lake Butler, Baker County at Lake Asbury, Lakeside at University Christian and Oakleaf at Green Cove.
With Keystone Heights dropping out the conference and the addition of Baker County, the road to the conference title just got a lot harder as the Bobcats are a solid program and will give everyone a tough challenge.
The divisions were shaken up after the addition of Baker County as the Bobcats were placed in the North with Lakeside, Orange Park and Oakleaf; while the South Division is now Bradford, Lake Asbury, Wilkinson and Green Cove.
