T’s Top Ten: Duval Sports Girls Basketball Power Rankings January 10th

We’re at the halfway mark coming off the holiday break. Many teams took to the road and won several tournaments on the road. In this week’s top 10, we highlight the team’s holiday tournament success and 2020 starts.

  1. Raines (18-1) – new top team alert!!! Raines has beaten everyone thus far this season in the area and went to Washington DC and won the Title IX Invitational
  2. Ribault (16-6) – lost two games during the holiday break but beat back to back top 5 teams in the area against Bolles and Bishop Kenny this week!
  3. Bolles (12-4) – lost both games at the She’s Got Game tournament in Atlanta and dropped the game against Ribault at home
  4. Bishop Kenny (10-8) – won one and lost one at the She’s Got Game tournament in Atlanta and lost at Ribault. They will face Bolles head to head on next Wednesday
  5. Middleburg (9-5) – down 15+ points to Sandalwood to come from behind and win with a 39 point effort from Seton Hall commit Brittany Range
  6. University Christian (14-0) – still the only undefeated team in Northeast Florida, faces talented Middleburg tonight
  7. Creekside (10-3) – steadily beating teams by double digits, faces talented Bolles team tonight
  8. St. Augustine (9-2) – close losses to Nease and Creekside, move them down to the #9 spot
  9. Sandalwood (10-8) – loss to Middleburg late in the game, they have a chance to redeem themselves in the upcoming Gateway Conference Tournament
  10. Mandarin (9-3) – we will see how they handle the pressure in the upcoming Gateway Conference Tournament
