Photos: Fleming Island’s Record Breaking Rushing Win Over Atlantic Coast

Fleming Island– Fleming Island defeated Atlantic Coast 42-7 in the FHSAA 7A Regional Semi-Finals Friday Night. The Golden Eagles received a record breaking performance from running back Sam Singleton (Former Duval Sports Top 50), who rushed for a school record 274 yards and 4 touchdowns on the evening. Atlantic Coast bowed out of the playoffs after advancing to the third round. It was their first trip to the playoffs in school history. Fleming Island will face Niceville in the Class 7A Regional Finals next Friday. Niceville defeated Buchholz 38-35 in their regional semifinal contest. Fleming Island won its third playoff game in a row (a school record), and advances to the regional final for the second time in three years.
