Isbell Leads Middleburg Girls Golf To A Great Swinging Start

The Middleburg Broncos girls golf team may be early in their 2025 campaign, but the budding season already offers promising glimpses of individual talent and a foundation for future success. With several 9-hole rounds logged, the team is using every chance to sharpen its competitive edge and get better with every course and opponent.

On the individual front, five golfers have stepped into the early season spotlight, here are some of their highlights:

  • Braelyn Isbell leads the group with an unmistakable performance—three 9-hole rounders, a stellar 38 her best, placing her well below the team average and immediately positioning her as a key contributor.
  • Jordan Bork, just a sophomore, but is showing extensive experience on the green with a 41
  • Chloe Toney posted a solid 47, offering a strong complement to Braelyn’s pace and anchoring the middle of the roster.
  • Emily Martin showed consistency and composure with a 49, further contributing to the depth of the squad.
  • Reagan Stininger, meanwhile, rounded out the initial outings with a 54, a result that provides a benchmark for growth.

Each golfer’s early outing has been instrumental to the team’s success. Middleburg came out on top by a score of 195 over Bishop Snyder’s 238 and Orange Park’s 286 in their first tournament.

They also defeated rival Clay 206-252, and Keystone Heights 183-249 to get off to a swinging good start this year. Head Coach Rebecca Triplett has done a great job with the unit, that has one senior.

Spotlight on Braelyn Isbell
At the forefront of this Broncos roster is Braelyn Isbell. Her 44 in a 9-hole round at Magnolia isn’t just the best on the team—it was statement. She’s already setting the bar higher and higher with a 38 at Eagle Harbor. Her performance has laid the groundwork for a leadership, on the scorecard and on the team.

As Middleburg prepares for upcoming matches, expanding their schedule, and building synergy will be key. If Braelyn continues this pace—and if Jordan, Chloe, Emily, and Reagan keep improving—the Broncos can go very far this year.
