Northeast Fl- The 2025 Fleming Island Varsity Girls Volleyball team has soared out of the gate with a perfect 5–0 run, including two dominating district victories, securing their spot atop the standings. Their unblemished record early earned them a top-three position statewide in Florida.
Opening their campaign with a commanding 3–0 sweep over Ridgeview (Aug 19), the Eagles followed up with a convincing 3–1 win against Fletcher (Aug 21). They maintained momentum with successive 3–0 shutouts on the road at Clay (Aug 26) and Bolles (Aug 27).

Although they fell to Sante Fe 3-1 on 9/2, they turned around and defeated Creekside 3-0, and Orange Park 3-0 to improve to 7-1 on the season. Lauren Brosky (Jr., OH/RS/DS) has been a dominant force on the line leading the team with 99 kills. She shines as an offensive powerhouse, leading the team in kills
Lilly Eason (So., OH/DS) is next with 81 kills. Hazel Williams (Sr., S/DS/RS) leads the team with 21 aces. They anchor the offense, adding precision and consistency. Both have been lethal weapons—tallying over 100 aces on the early season.
Kaylee Clark (Jr., OPP/RS) has 18 blocks to lead the Golden Eagles. She and Bella Mestas (So., OH/OPP/DS) and Saniya Robinson (Sr., MB/MH) have defended the net well with 8 and 7 blocks each. They offer defensive strength at the net with the most blocks.
Maddie Culbreth (Jr., L/DS) leads the team with 75 digs, while Eason is also a leader with 73. They serve as the backbone of the back row. Their collective leadership and performance have driven the team’s early success and helped secure their elite rankings.
Against Creekside, the Golden Eagles completely overwhelmed the Lady Knights. Creekside had no answer for their serving power, and dominant front. Even when Creekside could return the attack from Fleming Island, they were met with experience and savviness of the Golden Eagles who allowed the ball to go out of bounds for points.

Experience, athleticism, and excellent coaching by head coach Amy Yoder, is the reason the Golden Eagles won their last game against Creekside, and their game against Orange Park tonight. They’ve also dealt top teams like Fletcher (7-1) they’re only loss this year. As well as downing Ridgeview (4-2).
