Week 4 of the 2025 high school football season delivered statement wins, defensive battles, and breakout performances across Northeast Florida. Several teams continue to reach for the top in the midst of tough tests this week. Here’s a look at the updated Top 10 power rankings following Friday night’s action on September 12, 2025.
1. Raines (3-0)

The Vikings left no doubt about their dominance, thrashing Lake Mary 51-3. Raines showed balance on both sides of the ball, with the offense piling up points while the defense held Lake Mary to a single field goal. Ziyon Butler was named Duval Sports Player of the Week for his spectacular performances on offense and special teams. He scored on an 80-yard TD and a 85-yard punt return against a Lake Mary team who had defeated Miami Norland earlier in the year. Eddie Hinton also scored on a punt return. With blowout wins each week, the Vikings remain the gold standard in Jacksonville football.
2. Nease (4-0)

Speaking of the gold standard, Nease capitalized off golden opportunities against Fletcher last week. The Panthers proved their toughness in a defensive grind, defeating Fletcher 22-6. The Green and Gold offense leaned on a steady ground game by Enrique Ordonez , while the defense forced multiple turnovers to control the tempo. Their perfect record and ability to win in different styles keeps them just behind Raines in the standings.
3. Mandarin (4-0)

The Mustangs edged Bradford 14-7 in one of the week’s marquee matchups. Dynamic athlete Brysen Wright stole the show for the fourth straight week. He dazzled with a punt return touchdown (2nd of the season) and a receiving score (5th touchdown of the season) from quarterback Knox Annis, proving he’s one of the most dangerous players in the region. Mandarin’s undefeated start and clutch playmaking make them a legitimate title contender.
4. St. Augustine (4-0)

The Yellow Jackets held off Riverside in a thrilling 47-41 shootout. Quarterback efficiency and big plays downfield fueled the victory, but the defense showed some cracks for the second week in a row. Still, a win is a win, and St. Augustine’s offense led by Brenton James and Somourian Wingo has become one of the most explosive in Northeast Florida.
5. Bolles (3-1)

Bolles rebounded in dominant fashion with a 36-0 shutout over rival Bishop Kenny. The Bulldogs’ defense swarmed all night thanks to play from defenders like James Gibbs. While the offense executed a balanced attack from 3 touchdowns from Xander Edwards. After a tough loss last week, Bolles is rounding into form and looks every bit the powerhouse expected of its storied program. They have a true test against Oakleaf tonight.
6. Oakleaf (4-0)

The Knights remained unbeaten with a 35-26 win over Hawthorne. The offense clicked behind an aggressive passing game from Jack Mckissock who tossed 3 touchdowns, 2 to Jordin Price. Though the defense was tested in the second half they finished strong. Still, Oakleaf has proven it can handle pressure situations, and its perfect record keeps them firmly in the mix and they will be challenged at home versus Bolles.
7. Columbia (4-0)

Defense was the story in Lake City as Columbia blanked Madison County 9-0. While the Tigers’ offense struggled to find rhythm, the defensive unit delivered stop after stop to secure the win. The Cowboys are always a tough test for any team, so Columbia’s physical brand of football proved impressive against them. Their proficiency makes them a dangerous team moving forward.
8. Ed White (3-0)

Ed White delivered the most lopsided scoreline of the week, dismantling Englewood 74-0. The Commanders dominated in all three phases of the game, a quarterback King Boylston tossed 5 touchdowns in the game. King Mercer and Nic Roberson both caught 2 TDs in the game. Though the opponent wasn’t as strong as others in the rankings, the Commanders defense did what they were supposed to do with 3 interceptions and 5 sacks (3 by Johnny Duckett). If Ed White continues to produce at this level, they’ll be a threat to climb higher.
9. Bradford (3-1)

Bradford came up just short in a 14-7 battle with Mandarin but showed grit and defensive toughness. The Tornadoes’ defense kept the Mustangs in check most of the night, but the offense couldn’t overcome Brysen Wright’s game-breaking plays. Their defense couldn’t stop Mandarin’s running game late in the game that could’ve given their offense back the ball. Bradford remains one of the area’s toughest pound-for-pound teams despite the setback.
10. Fletcher (3-1)

The Senators fell to Nease 22-6, their first blemish of the season. Fletcher’s defense held its own, but the offense struggled to sustain drives against an elite Panthers squad. While the loss doesn’t drop them in the rankings, the Senators still have to prove themselves against a Top 10 opponent. They have the weapons to rebound quickly.
Best of the Rest: Impact (3-0), University Christian (3-1), Beachside (4-1), Middleburg (4-0), Fleming Island (3-1)
