Ponte Vedra Fl- So far this season, Ponte Vedra has looked less like a football team and more like a runaway train.
With a perfect 18-0 record, the Sharks have dominated opponents from start to finish, using explosive offense and fierce defense to become one of Florida’s toughest flag football teams.
Leading the charge is superstar quarterback Izzy Murray, who has put together a jaw-dropping season. Murray has thrown for an incredible 4,508 yards and 68 touchdowns, carving up defenses week after week with precision passes and big-play ability.

Even better, Murray has two game-changing targets who make life miserable for opposing defenses.
Peyton Gruver has been unstoppable, hauling in 1,681 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns. On the other side, Julia Conroy has been just as dangerous with 1,431 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns. Together, they have formed one of the most explosive duos in the state.
However, Ponte Vedra’s dominance does not stop on offense.
Their defense has been downright scary.
Linebacker Sophie Koppenhafer leads the team with 70 flag pulls, flying all over the field and shutting down opposing offenses. Meanwhile, Maddy McDermott has terrorized quarterbacks all season with 16 sacks, making every snap feel like a race against time.
Then there’s the secondary.
Conroy has been a true two-way star, snagging an eye-popping 23 interceptions on defense. Gruver has added 12 interceptions of her own, giving Ponte Vedra one of the most dangerous defensive backfields anywhere.

As a result, the Sharks have posted seven shutouts this season.
Ponte Vedra’s schedule has also proven this team can win close games and dominate elite competition.
Early in the season, they battled past Land O’ Lakes 12-7 in a tough defensive showdown. Then, they made a major statement by shutting out powerhouse Paxon 13-0. They rolled through the district tournament defeating First Coast 54-6. and Fleming Island 34-0.

After that, the Sharks stormed past Bartram Trail 26-6 to capture the Class 3A District 3 Championship. Ponte Vedra has feasted on every opponent, and is ranked #3 in the entire state of Florida. They’re ranked #2 in Class 3A.

Most recently, Ponte Vedra opened the FHSAA Playoffs in dominant fashion, crushing Nease 26-0 in the first round. That performance showed exactly why this team is so dangerous and is ranked #1 in Jacksonville. They can score fast, defend hard, and rise to the moment.
Now, with an undefeated record, championship hardware, and playoff momentum, Ponte Vedra has its sights set on something even bigger.

The Sharks are not just winning—they are building a season to remember.
And if Murray, Gruver, Conroy, and that fierce defense keep playing this way, Ponte Vedra may not be finished making history.
