JULINGTON CREEK – Our Game of the Week featured Liberty Pines and Landrum Wednesday at Plantation Park.

Like nearly every Game of the Week we have had so far, it wasn’t even close.

Liberty Pines comes out onto the field prior to its game with Landrum Wednesday.

On the first play from scrimmage, Eric Weatherly raced 71 yards untouched down the right sideline for a 7-0 lead just seconds into the game.

After a quick three and out, Weatherly struck again taking a 26 yard keeper for another score for a 14-0 lead.

Evan Fleischer cut the lead in half with a 1 yard run for the Lions cutting the lead to 14-6, after the two point pass was broken up.

The momentum didn’t last long as lineman Ezekiel Romero caught the ensuing kickoff and tossed it backwards to Weatherly, who raced 65 yards down the Wolves sideline for a 20-6 lead in the second quarter.

Two possessions later, backup quarterback Josh Carter handed the ball to Weatherly, who initially pulled up to throw a pass but tucked it back in and raced 85 yards for his fourth touchdown of the first half for a 28-6 lead.

The ensuing kickoff sailed over the Lions return guy pinning the Lions back at the 5-yard line. On the next play, Mason Mozo tipped the pass to himself and hauled in for an interception taking it back for a score and 36-6 halftime lead.

When play resumed in the third quarter, Weatherly scored his fifth touchdown of the game with a 30 yard run forcing a running clock with a 42-6 lead.

Mozo recovered a Lions fumble, which led to Dylon Chiedo’s 70 yard run on the ensuing play for a 50-6 lead in the fourth quarter. Ethan Video Game Miller added the two point conversion to give the Wolves their 50th point.
