Jacksonville- It seems like years have past since Matthew Gilbert Middle last won a championship, but in actuality its only been only two years. Yet when a team like the Panthers who are used to winning every year gets dethroned by an opponent, the road back to the top is usually left with lots of carnage for the opposing teams. Last week Northwestern was the victim, as Gilbert manhandled them 30-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Gilbert was led by #7 Justin Bradley who scored two touchdowns and #6 Trashon Durham who made lots of plays getting into the end-zone several times for the Panthers. With two shutouts in a row, it looks like Gilberts defense is playing at an extremely high level. That is a recipe for success, championship success. Is Gilbert back? For right now, its seems like they are.
