Duval County Middle School Football Mid-Season Power Rankings

We’re at the halfway mark of the Duval County Middle School Football Season and what a difference a year makes. The defending county champion Ribault Colts were riding high and undefeated until last week when Highlands defeated them. Highlands is now the team to beat as many other teams jockey for position in our first Power Rankings of the season. Check DuvalSports.com each week until the end of the season for the top 10 teams in Duval county middle school football.

  1. Highlands – Highlands ascends to the top of our poll after an impressive win over defending champion Ribault. They’re a very big, long and athletic team
  2. Lake Shore- Lake Shore is rolling over teams this year. Their high powered offense and stingy defense is extremely impressive.
  3. Gilbert- Matthew Gilbert comes in at number 3 with dynamic play makers on both sides of the ball.
  4. Ribault- Ribault may not be as talented as last year across the board, but they are still a dangerous team.
  5. Stilwell- The first surprise of our power rankings is Joseph Stilwell. They’ve showcased new weapons and a new regime which has resulted in new wins.
  6. Fletcher- Fletcher makes their debut at six after playing two playoff opponents from last year to start the season. A revenge victory over Landmark has them riding high in the division.
  7. Arlington- Arlington has the talent and they have the toughness. Will this finally be their year to capture the East?
  8. Landmark- After a tough close loss at home versus Fletcher, the division champions will be looking to rebound against Arlington.
  9. Dupont- The southern division champions got off to a slow start but rebounded well with a division win versus upstart Southside. They run the ball well and that’s a recipe for late season success.
  10. Southside- The Knights round out our top 10 after their impressive win over Mandarin. It’s a three way tie and this team is capable of breaking it with heir talented roster.
