T’s Top Ten; Duval Sports Girl’s Basketball Power Rankings January 17th

  1. Raines (23-1) – the best team in Northeast Florida by far! They ran through the Gateway Conference without a hiccup. They have played a total of 5 games in 7 days outscoring their opponents 328-151
  2. Bishop Kenny (12-8) – Won three straight games after their loss to Ribault including a 20 point victory over rival Bolles
  3. Ribault (18-7) – Impressive come from behind victory over Sandalwood in the Gateway Conference Semifinals before losing to Raines in the Championship
  4. Middleburg (11-5) – Took down the last undefeated team by beating University Christian by 5
  5. University Christian (14-1) – Dropped one spot after losing to Middleburg, entering the tough part of their season playing against Bishop Kenny, Ribault and Bolles
  6. Bolles (13-5) – Had the largest drop of the season, dropping 2 of their last 3 games
  7. Sandalwood (11-9) – They have dropped 5 of the last 6 games, but all to quality opponents. Impressive even in defeat to Ribault in the Gateway Conference Semifinal
  8. Creekside (11-4) – Lost to a talented Bolles team but never gave up, very impressive from beyond the arc knocking down 8 3-pointers
  9. Bartram Trail (9-9) – Impressive win over a Flagler Palm Coast team and ready for a rematch against rival Creekside tonight
  10. St. Augustine (11-3) – Surprising loss to Ponte Vedra (6-11), look to bounce back heading into the St. Johns River Athletic Conference Championship
