Gamble Rogers continued their winning streak with an incredible 16-6 win over previously undefeated Landrum. The stingrays scored 16 unanswered second half points to go on to win the game. Landrum took a 6-0 lead into the half relying heavily running-back Emmett Grzebin.
The stingrays responded in the second half when running-back Gage Anderson scored on a 60 yard touchdown run. He, along with Joseph Soto finished powered the Stingrays on the ground. Soto had a long touchdown run of 45 yards in the game. Sammy Blythe, Ransom Rhodes, Aidan Brubaker, Ben Johnson, and Raymond Evans led the strong defensive effort.
With the win, Gamble Rogers(3-0) remains undefeated heading into their rivalry game with Murray next week at St Joseph Academy. Murray and Gamble Rogers met last year in the county championship game. Landrum (2-1) will try to rebound next week against Pacetti Bay.
